After 14 enjoyable years as a volunteer Ombudsman, being an advocate for the residents of Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities in the Alliance area, I found myself needing my own placement . I CHOSE CANTERBURY-VILLA!!
I was impressed with the "Full of Life" activities provide by Deanna and her staff. The enthusiasm, optimism, and love of fun show in everything they do. I've observed even the non-verbal and non ambulatory residents respond in their own way. How heartwarming!
I've also noticed a professional but kind and warm empathy of the staff for the residents. I believe this empathetic attitude in all departments come down from the top and it shows that the residents truly benefit.
I am contented to be here.

I’ve lived at Canterbury-Villa since November of 2016.
This is not the first nursing home that I’ve lived in; but I can tell you it’s the BEST nursing home I’ve lived in.
The people who run this building are good people and try their very best to make it a nice place to live.
It is a clean place to live and the food is really really good.
There is always something going on at Canterbury-Villa. From musical activities to games to fun trips. I purchased a popcorn machine for the facility. We love the days we have popcorn.
The outside is clean and they take a lot of pride in the building, with beautiful flowers where you can go and sit when the weather is nice.
Everyone at Canterbury-Villa treats us with respect and makes us know that this is our home. I am very happy here. I know that the people here care about me.
If you get a chance, stop by and see the place for yourself. The atmosphere is a happy one. You won’t be disappointed.

After more than two months of stress and frustration over my sister's care(more accurately lack of care) at another facility in town, our family felt an immediate sense of peace when Joyce was transferred to Canterbury-Villa.
The Canterbury staff is friendly, professional, and immediately on top of any issues that arise. Every dept. goes above and beyond to meet all of Joyce's specific needs and to include and inform our family of any decisions which need to be made.
Visitors are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. It is plain to see why you have earned such an outstanding rating. What an asset to the Alliance Community!!!

As a family, we could not have been happier with the care he received while in your facility. Canterbury is one of the best places in the area. The clean and nurturing staff is incredible. Caregiving staff is caring and nice. Very efficient. Activities keep us moving and always positive vibes coming from them. Housekeeping is excellent and pleasant every day. The place has grown to be a happy place. I am happy here.
Canterbury Villa of Alliance staff has been beyond my expectations! Placing Mom was one of the hardest things we had to do 2 years ago. Social services have always had patience with Mom when she did not understand things and would take the time to sit and explain it. The hard-working Aides and Nursing staff still have time to show love and compassion daily to the residents they are caring for. A really big applause to the Activities Department- they bring so much love and activities to Canterbury Villa. The activities group makes the residents know their worth. All the planning for the events and all the decorations they do to bring that home-like feel. Then there is my mom's nurse- he is just outstanding! The entire team always gets involved in the facility, such teamwork! I would recommend Canterbury Villa of Alliance- it gives you ease in your choice.
I have had a wonderful experience here at Canterbury Villa and I am sad to have to leave. I have had great staff looking after me while I have been here. I had so much fun in Activities and my favorite thing was the current events discussions. The Activity Department staff are very kind. I enjoyed my time in therapy they did a fantastic job. I am glad I was here and I made some friends too. Thank you for all you did for me.
I love it here, my family can visit me anytime. I love to play Bingo and do the activities. Visiting my friends and the nursing staff are some of my favorite things I like here.
I am grateful to live in such a nice place and to have such a wonderful roommate. Some of my favorite things here are being able to go to church and the activities that keep me busy. I have made lots of friends here too.
I would highly recommend Canterbury Villa; they have excellent therapy. The Nurses and Aides are supportive and kind. The Administrator went the extra mile to help me with several things. The staff offers encouragement to help in your recovery. It makes you feel like you have a cheering section to get you going. They also have a good activities program; people can stay as busy as they want. Canterbury Villa is the best in Alliance.
The facility is convenient, easily accessible, clean, and well-maintained. But even more than that, management and staff are superior. They are kind, gentle, and sincere! The level of care and compassion served to the guests here at this facility is excellent. It is present and evident from the moment you meet with the marketing director, then enter the building and be greeted by the nurses, aides, and staff. The staff are kind, caring, compassionate, and competent. I will recommend your facility to anyone needing rehab nursing care.
We have been very happy with the care given. Staff has been great! Very attentive, very clean and my room has been very cozy and comfortable. The STNAs have provided me with excellent care. The therapy I received was very good- thank you to the therapy staff. I enjoyed having other options for meals. Everyone was always pleasant and friendly.
Canterbury Villa is a wonderful place. I am so pleased I chose to live here. All the staff are loving, helpful, pleasant and polite. Anytime I have a concern, there is a resolution quickly. I am very well taken care of by all the staff. I love going to activities, they are so much fun and there is something for us to do every day. I've made friends with the other residents and it is nice to have people to talk to. Canterbury Villa is like my home and the staff and other residents are like my family. I love it here!
I love working at Canterbury. I retired a few years ago after 17 years and decided I needed to come back and join the Canterbury team. It gives me such enjoyment seeing the residents, hearing their stories and helping them in any way I can. The staff here is pretty awesome. I have never had a problem with any of them. We work as a team - a family. Administrators & HR are always doing fun stuff/things for staff and residents. I really feel appreciated and feel like a part of a big caring family.
It is wonderful to be a part of the Canterbury family, from the front offices (always have doors open to staff) to back of building is just wonderful. The kitchen crew that I work with are truly AMAZING! I started here as a dietary aide and within no time I became a head cook. They teach and train their employees. I love my residents (second family) a lot. I especially have one in particular who has to make their daily round to get a dose of "Marcus's love." I try to serve them and bring smiles to their faces. This is especially true for Canterbury's team - I love making them smile (laugh usually) and brightening their days.
I think Canterbury is a good place to work. I care a lot about my residents and do what I can for them. They are special and make our days brighter. There is a family feel and a very homey atmosphere at Canterbury. The staff is easygoing and management is too, always willing to listen and help you. Residents are fun and loving, I enjoy making new memories each day I work. That is why I've been here for 4 years and counting.
I was brought here to Canterbury Villa and I am glad I came. The activities staff are awesome and also the caregiving staff. When I came I did therapy and they did a great job. I like that I can go out with my guardian to church and eat lunch. Some things I like to do are sit up front and visit with other people, watch TV in the common room, and read my Bible.
I enjoy church and bible study. I like the activities when I am able to join in. Staff is good here and so are the activity programs. Very good place.
I am very happy with the aides (STNAs) who all work very hard. The kitchen is providing the food I request, and I have no complaints! Since Shannon (Administrator) has been here, things have been great!
I love Canterbury Villa! From the day I moved in staff have been very nice and helpful. I love the activity program! I do not miss one thing. I like that I can sign up to go on outings and trips. The food here is pretty good, I like that we can choose other things if we do not like something on the menu.
All the staff are nice to me! I like to get up and walk with therapy. The nurses are good to me. I like to come to Canterbury Villa when I need a short stay.
If you have to be in a place, this is the place to be. This is a home away from home. Since I have been here at Canterbury Villa they have treated me very good. My wife is here with me and she also gets great care. I am glad we can be together.

Working at Canterbury Villa has been great. The residents are amazing and love to have fun. The staff works together as a team to make sure our resident wants and needs our met. They eight months I have worked for this company has been amazing.
I’ve enjoyed my nine years of employment at our facility. We help each other out and work as a team. We care and have fun with our residents! Management team is always available to help out as well. We are family here.
From the first day we entered Canterbury Villa, we were treated with kindness and respect. The current administrative staff has been extremely helpful and willing to pause whatever they were doing to answer any questions or concerns we might have. The nurses and aides are a great group to work with on a weekly basis. Their help and concern with the daily issues here have been greatly appreciated over the many years. Keep up the good work.
Being here at Canterbury Villa has been a very positive move for both my husband Terry and I. We have had the chance to share the same room and choose our meals from a restaurant style menu. The activities that we have to choose from range from bingo to trivia and Bible study. The Nursing staff are not only helpful but treat us like people and not just a room number. Laundry and Maintenance are always on top of things. We are happy we chose Canterbury Villa.
Canterbury Villa of Alliance took such good care of Mom. If she ever needs care again I will definitely trust them again.
Patty Nohl is quite the celebrity here at Canterbury Villa. I walked in and Becky (Nurse) introduced herself and said, “Are you looking for my new best friend Patty?” Sam was here with hugs for me and Kimber!
The vibe here is totally different and makes a difference! I feel happy and comfortable leaving Mom here in their care.
I have enjoyed my stay here! The staff is very kind and friendly. They have made sure I am comfortable and I get what I ask for pretty timely. The therapy group was very good. Thank you for taking good care of me.
Caregivers were very kind while I stayed here at Canterbury Villa. Most of all the staff were very nice and helpful but I really liked Emily and Lauren. The therapy team was great and very sweet to me. I also liked the food while I was here.
I have worked at Canterbury for almost 2 years. I applied here because my grandma was here previously and Canterbury took great care of him. I love taking care of my residents every day! The staff here work well together. I’ve made some great friends! I’m so thankful to have a great job that I love coming to!
I have worked at Canterbury for four years now. When I graduated nursing school and passed my NCIEX, Canterbury was the only nursing job that would hire me due to not having any experience. I will always and forever be grateful for them giving me a start in my nursing career! I work with amazing, caring, smart, and compassionate individuals! I love, communicating with the residents and learning about their lives!
I like the food here; meatloaf is my favorite. I really like my roommate; he is really nice. The Therapy girls are helping me drive my wheelchair better. Staff here are nice. I am happy here.
The staff that have taken care of me and looked after me treat me like family. They are tremendous people. Therapy has been wonderful. The food at the facility can be "too" much for me in portion sizes. I have been participating in more activities especially enjoying the church services, bible study and devotionals to help with daily living. Really good people here to help and really make this place what it is. I appreciate all the staff and what they do.
