A Family-Centered Thanksgiving Dinner
November 30, 2022
Canterbury Villa of Alliance was thrilled to bring back our annual Thanksgiving dinner for our residents and families. The ambiance was set with candlelight, soft music, and beautiful pumpkins with fall flowers on each table. Our residents gathered with their loved ones as our team served each table with delicious food and love.
Courtesy of our Dietary Department, we proudly served about all of our families here with a delicious home-cooked meal. Everyone enjoyed ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and a beautiful cheese and cracker tray. We also had raffles for our families to enter when they came in because what’s a party without treats?
Our teams have been prepping for this event for weeks. The Maintenance Department, led by Josh, brought all the tables in and helped set them up. The Activity Department spent hours making sure every detail was perfect. From the table coverings to the place carts, they made sure everything was magical that night. Our new Administrator, Shannon, was present along with many other department heads who helped serve the meal and make sure our guests were comfortable. Our HR Coordinator, Debbie, led us in a prayer that made us feel especially warm. Canterbury is known for our down-home family feel, and you could definitely feel it here that night.
We are so blessed to have our residents and families who enjoy sharing the holidays with us. Especially with all of the hard months we are coming out of, this holiday season was especially heartwarming. Family after family came to us to express their appreciation of this wonderful event. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Canterbury!
