A Spook-tacular Halloween!
November 7, 2024
Canterbury Villa’s Halloween celebrations took place all month long and brought laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of treats to our community! Halloween day was packed with exciting activities for the team, from a lively costume contest to pumpkin decorating, with staff dressed up in all kinds of creative costumes.
Sherri won as a police officer, and Greg’s “Last Air Bender” earned him second place. The nursing team, who truly went above and beyond with their pumpkin design, won the coveted pizza party prize. Staff also enjoyed a potluck lunch, a well-loved tradition for sharing delicious food together.
On October 22nd, residents joined in for our Trunk-or-Treat, hosted in the parking lot and organized by our amazing Activities Director, Deanna H. Residents lit up as they handed out candy, delighting in the costumes of visiting children. Resident Cookie shared, “It was so nice to have all this Halloween fun at Canterbury. I love seeing the kids and staff all dressed up!”
These events are more than just celebrations—they’re a way to bring joy to residents, boost morale among staff, and keep everyone connected to the community. Events like Halloween remind our residents that life’s celebrations continue in long-term care and help create a true family atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who made this day unforgettable!
